My peers on campus are eminently quote-worthy. So are their compatriots in Dun Laoghaire and in Kilkenny. I've found the little conversations swirling around me extremely entertaining, and I'm glad for it. That is all.
"Dan Sheehan is a f***ing gossip." - girl to her friends on campus.
"I'm not judge-y, but if I see something I'll make a wee comment on it." - man walking on campus.
"Did you get milk for Mum? That's a public service." - man talking on phone on campus.
"Read books. Stupid Shakespeare books that I don't understand." - man in Newman Building when asked what he does in his literature class.
"I will go in and become very politely irate, in the most Irish way possible." - professor planning his future outburst.
"We are the Poisoned Youth." - graffiti facing the ocean in Dun Laoghaire.
"We're going to my barber, that's where we're going." - young boy to his mother in Dun Laoghaire.
"She's my sort of Kryptonite, you know?" - man in bathroom of Doyle's (bar) in Dublin.
"I found two super massive ones!" - boy showing caterpillars to his father along the Kilkenny Canal.
"Books You Really Must Read." - sign in Kilkenny Bookstore.
